Bates Trucking Change to Yard Waste Pickup Day

Effective April 1, 2018 Bates Trucking will begin collecting your Municipal yard waste on Mondays.

How to Prepare Yard Waste

1. Place yard waste in biodegradable brown papaer bags or bundle it with biodegradable twine in easy-to-handle bundles.

    a. Bundles may be no longer than 5 feet in length,

    b. Bundles may not weigh more than 30 pounds each.

    c. Bundles may not exceed 6 inches in diameter.

2. Once prepared, yard waste must be placed at the curb on scheduled pick up day before 6:30 am.

3. An unlimited number of bags or bundles may be placed at the curb.

What is considered yard waste?

1. Most organic materials found in yards is considered yard waste, including:

  • Grass clippings
  • Leaves
  • Brush
  • Live holiday trees
  • Pruning from trees and bushes
  • ...and more
